While scrolling through these names a lot of them have little green circles in the mid-November time frame. Recovery Upleg for Cisco Tech Stock / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
The most salient feature of the enclosed 4-hour chart of Cisco (CSCO) is the series of lower-lows from mid-November at 19.34 into last Friday at 19.00, which were not confirmed by my 4-hour RSI (momentum) gauge.

Start of New Upleg for AMAT / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
My intermediate-term work on Applied Materials (AMAT) indicates that the Aug 31 low at 10.27 ended the correction of the upleg from the Nov 21, 2008 low at 7.80 to the Jan 11, 2010 high at 14.94. At that time, a new upleg commenced that hit its first high on Nov 9 at 13.08.

New Upleg for Newmont Mining (NEM) / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
The form exhibited by the decline in Newmont Mining (NYSE: NEM) from its September 22 high at 65.50 into Monday's low at 57.31 has the right look of a completed correction into the area of the sharply rising 200-day moving average (57.18) amidst a glaring positive momentum (RSI) divergence.

Mini Base-like Pattern for Bank of America (BAC) / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
11.08 held above last week's low at 11.05, which held above the October 26 low at 11.03. Today's subsequent rally to 11.25/30 has carved out a minor base-like pattern since Nov 22, which must hurdle and sustain above 11.33/40 to trigger initial buy signals that will project into the 11.75/80 area initially.

GM Bullish Chart Pattern / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
Yesterday General Motors (NYSE: GM) tested the post-offering low (33.11) with a secondary low at 33.17, prior to pivoting to the upside into this morning's rally peak at 33.80. The micro pattern from 33.17 to 33.80 exhibits bullish form, which argues for higher prices as long as 33.17 contains any forthcoming weakness.

Bottoming Period for Bank of America (BAC) / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
The insider trading news, along with the mortgage crisis and perhaps an association with the Irish-EU banking crisis, have combined to clobber the major money center banks like Goldman Sachs (GS), JP Morgan (JPM), and Bank of America (BAC).
The way the BAC pattern is unfolding on the downside, my work argues that all of the price action from mid-October through the present represents a major bottoming period for the stock.

Upside Thrust Ahead for Apple / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
The action in Apple (AAPL) from Tuesday's all-time high at 321.30 into yesterday's low at 313.55 -- followed by today's probe of 314.25, prior to the current climb to 317.50-318.00 -- has the look and the feel either of a sideways, high-level, bullish congestion area, or a completed minor correction within a still-dominant upleg off of the Oct 29 pivot low at 300.87.

What Macy's and Cisco Charts Tell Us Ahead of Corporate Earnings / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
Our Charts of the Week video takes a look at the charts of Macy’s (M) and Cisco (CSCO) ahead of their Wednesday earnings releases.
The daily chart of Macy’s going back to Feb 2009 shows a series of higher lows and higher highs. Macy’s believe it or not, despite everything we hear about how bad the economy is and how nobody is buying anything, has been in a major uptrend for quite a while, starting in March 2009. At that time it got down to 6.25 and now is at 25 1/2, after gapping to a new high this past Friday.

QE2 Beneficiaries, ACI / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
Yesterday we highlighted the banks in our Mid-Day Minute. To follow-up, QE2 could potentially help the banks in general, and Bank of America (BAC) in particular through a steeper yield curve, which enables lenders to make money borrowing short-term money at miniscule rates, while lending longer-term at much higher rates, thus capturing a meaty spread.

Hit And Run Trades Give Good Stock Trading Profits / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

From a technical standpoint they don’t. Although those events are most likely going to get us unstuck from the current trajectory of our current trend channel that we will say.

Stock Traders Eye on Qualcomm and Microsoft / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
Qualcomm (QCOM) is up about 2.5% today and after nearly a month of sideways digestion off of its Sep 30 high at 45.75 into Tuesday's low at 43.21 appears to have finally resumed its underlying uptrend from the July low at 31.51.
If such a scenario continues to unfold, then QCOM should be in the early portion of a new upleg that projects to the 48.00 area next. At this juncture, only a decline that breaks the Oct 26 low at 43.21 will invalidate the bullish scenario.

Upside Reversal for Bank of America BAC / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
The 4% upmove today in Bank of America (BAC) after it hit lows not seen since May 2009 (on the way up) so far looks technically significant.
My daily and hourly pattern and momentum work on BAC suggest strongly that the most recent downleg from the 14.00 area ended this morning at new multi-month lows at 11.03. The upside reversal (so far) has the "right look" of a significant upside reversal and recovery rally within the 14.00-11.00 price move.
