Gold, Stocks and Bonds inĀ 2011 / Stock-Markets / Financial Markets 2011

By: Bill_Bonner

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleYesterday, we promised to give you a “Prediction-Plus” about the stock market. You remember what a “Prediction-Plus” is, don’t you? It’s better than a prediction. It’s what you should believe…even if it turns out to be wrong.

What should you believe about bonds? They’re going down. They’re a “suicidal” investment, says our old friend, Marc Faber.

How Long Can the S&P 500, Precious Metals, & Bonds Rally? / Stock-Markets / Financial Markets 2011

By: J_W_Jones

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleIn the fine print of most investment advertisements or in the softly spoken disclaimer at the end of a commercial, we generally read or hear the phrase “past results are not indicative of future performance”. While those exact words may not be written or uttered, something along those lines is found on almost any piece of investment literature or in investment product commercials.

Keep Ahead of the Herd in 2011 / Stock-Markets / Financial Markets 2011

By: EWI

Have you ever noticed that much of the time, the forecasts for what’s going to happen next are quite often just more of what happened last? There’s no real insight, just “expect more of the same.”

That’s not how we view the world here at Elliott Wave International, where instead we study patterns of positive and negative mood to predict changes in the stock market, current events and other trends.

2011 Profit and Protection Essentials; Bubbles to Pop and Bullish Sectors / Stock-Markets / Financial Markets 2011

By: DeepCaster_LLC

Best Financial Markets Analysis Article"The most alarming thing about the state issue is the level of complacency," Meredith Whitney, one of the most respected financial analysts on Wall Street and one of the most influential women in American business, told correspondent Steve Kroft…

"It has tentacles as wide as anything I've seen. I think next to housing this is the single most important issue in the United States, and certainly the largest threat to the U.S. economy," she told Kroft.

Bumpy Road Ahead for Gold and Blue Chip Stocks / Stock-Markets / Financial Markets 2011

By: The_Gold_Report

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleSteady tailwinds benefited the stock market for most of 2010, but Stansberry & Associates Investment Research Founder Porter Stansberry is bracing himself and his clients for a bumpy ride for equities in the new year, as well as unprecedented instability in muni bonds and Treasuries. In this exclusive interview with The Gold Report, Porter, who's been predicting the dire consequences of unbridled borrowing and continued quantitative easing for some time, recommends utmost caution and conservatism for investors in 2011.

Ten Economic and Investment Themes for 2011 / Stock-Markets / Financial Markets 2011

By: Mike_Shedlock

Best Financial Markets Analysis Article1. US Municipal Bankruptcies Head to Center Stage

Look for Detroit and at least one other city in Michigan to go bankrupt. Also look for increasing discussions regarding bankruptcy from Los Angeles, Miami, Oakland, Houston, and San Diego. Those cities are definitely bankrupt, they just have not admitted it yet. The first major city to go bankrupt will cause a huge stir in the municipal bond market. Best to avoid Munis completely.

Soul Sacrifice, The Theme Song for Central Bank Subterfuge, Forecasts 2011 / Stock-Markets / Financial Markets 2011

By: Barry_M_Ferguson

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleIt might be a generational thing but for sixty’s generation, none of us will ever forget Carlos Santana at Woodstock in 1969. His band performed a song titled, ‘Soul Sacrifice’ in front of a half million people or so. Being the sixties, and being an outdoor festival, Carlos ingested some hallucinogens several hours before he was supposed to take the stage (at least this is the version I have read). At least, he thought he had some time for a trip. However, there was a schedule mixup and he was immediately ushered onstage. With his perception chemically altered, the neck of his guitar appeared to transform into a series of waves. Fearful of losing contact completely, he grabbed the guitar neck with his left hand and never let go. The result was one of the greatest performances in recorded musical history. If I have any of this wrong, my apologies to one of the greatest guitar players to ever play the instrument.

Long AND Short Important for Investor Profit & Protection in 2011 / Stock-Markets / Financial Markets 2011

By: DeepCaster_LLC

Best Financial Markets Analysis Article“There is a dire collapse taking place below the radar screens of the public. The financial condition of the fellow states of a currency union is the most critical component of a common union currency's value today. It is the challenged financial integrity of member states and their constituents, the cities, towns and villages that make up the state where risk is most prevalent.

The municipal bond market is today in a second freefall…

Interest Rate Yields the Dominant Market Theme for 2011 / Stock-Markets / Financial Markets 2011

By: Clif_Droke

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleAfter the bottom of the 4-year cycle in September the stock market began what has been described, in the words of Samuel J. Kress, “the final cyclical bull market of the post-World War 2 expansionary era.” The months ahead could well be the last chance for individuals to prepare for the coming “winter” phase of the deflationary 60-year cycle which enters its final “hard down” phase in 2012 and bottoms in 2014.

U.S. Economy Forecast 2011, How to Profit Even With a Double Dip Recession / Stock-Markets / Financial Markets 2011

By: Money_Morning

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleMartin Hutchinson writes: It's been a dull year for the U.S. economy. But don't expect a repeat in 2011.

In fact, as we enter the New Year for the U.S. economy, investors face some major risks. Should the U.S. Federal Reserve opt to maintain its record-low-level of interest rates, it's very likely that we'll see the kind of virulent inflation that will send commodity prices skyward, and inflict some real long-term damage in the process.
