Best Instant Access Interest Rate UK Savings Accounts / Personal_Finance / Savings Accounts

By: MoneyFacts

Savers, is your bank still failing to match base rate?

It seems all a little too familiar for savers this month as many providers have yet to announce whether they will pass on the Bank of England’s rate rise. The latest research from Moneyfacts.co.uk shows that even if the biggest brands were to pass on the full 0.25% rise, their easy access accounts will still fail to match or beat 0.75%. Today, challengers, supermarket brands and mutuals dominate the easy access Best Buys as an alternative.

The Changing Face of Payments: Online & Mobile Payments / Personal_Finance / Mobile Technology

By: Steve_Marks

Back in the day, it used to be the case that cash was the only mainstream way to pay for pretty much every transaction. When cheques and bank cards became popular, they were considered to be cutting-edge payment forms that were about to change the world. Now, both of these payment methods are becoming increasingly obsolete. This is evident in the UK as more people use online payment and baking methods. One popular example of this is e-tailer payment methods. Popular examples of these include Amazon’s Amazon Pay and Apple’s Apple Pay. Originally envisioned as an extension of both Apple and Amazon, both payment methods can now be used elsewhere. Meaning that traditional payment methods like debit and credit cards are being used less and less. Another reason for this is the growth of online shopping. In the UK it is estimated that over 70% of households use online shopping. This follows the trend of increased internet usage.

How to Arrange an Inexpensive Holiday with Online Dating / Personal_Finance / Money Saving

By: Submissions

Andy Charlson writes: There are various misconceptions about dating sites which are bandied about. One of the most misleading is they only exist for people who have been unable to find a partner going through the more traditional routes. Another is they purely exist for meeting up for casual encounters. The truth of the matter is, relationship sites appeal to a diverse cross-section of people, single or otherwise. For many, the whole point of sites like https://www.beyondthecharter.com/ is not necessarily to flirt at all. It is more about engaging with a cross-section of interesting and exciting individuals in order to widen their social circle.

How Online Dating Can be a Terrific Way to Save Money / Personal_Finance / Money Saving

By: Submissions

Andy Charlson writes: Let's be honest. Relationships can be one of the most expensive social activities we indulge in. On a quest to find the ideal partner, we might go through any number of what could be termed ‘dummy runs' with people who ultimately turned out to be unsuitable candidates. Then there is the actual process of dating itself. No matter how attractive we are to a significant other, taking them out on a date night can leave a serious dent in any wallet. Unfortunately, the more you want to impress a new partner by taking them to the more exclusive restaurants or expensive nightclubs, the greater the cost. In these uncertain economic times, it does no harm to consider areas where you can draw those horns in. This is where Internet dating can be a fantastic resource for controlling your budget.
