Russian Banks Earned Record Profits in 2010 / Companies / Corporate Earnings
2010 was a successful year for Russian banks. Their profit in 2010 made up 573.4 billion rubles, which was three times as much as in 2009. Experts believe that such a growth has been achieved owing to the recovery of the reserves created during the crisis. Completed Pullback for Silver Wheaton / Companies / Company Chart Analysis
My near-term work indicates strongly that Silver Wheaton (NYSE: SLW) ended a minor pullback at 33.60 off of yesterday's rally peak at 35.55. If accurate, this means that a new upleg is in its infancy and will extend the larger upmove from the Jan 25 low at 28.85 -- initially towards a test of 35.40/55 resistance (the 50 DMA and yesterday's high) and then to test the Dec-Jan resistance line, now at 36.75.

Jack Barnes writes: Since the start of the global financial crisis in 2007, the economic slowdown that Western nations have experienced has been offset on a worldwide basis by the strong growth that we've seen in the developing markets.

It seems that everyone has now jumped back on the energy band wagon; energy, solar, uranium and rare earths. I hear it constantly in the media.

I’m not saying sell them short, but here are three popular stocks I sure would neither buy nor hold at this point. They’ve had good runs, but are looking toppy on our technical charts and on their valuations and fundamentals.

George Leong writes: There is optimism on Wall Street, but be careful as there is also risk. You need to understand the concept of risk management as a key element to investing success. The reason why I want to discuss risk management is my sense that there are some of you who probably fail to incorporate some sort of risk-management strategy.
