WESTERN DIGITAL WDC Stock Trend Analysis - CHIA! - Risk 1 / Companies / Investing 2021

The first on my list is a tech stock that I mentioned in passing in my last analysis Western Digital (WDC). founded in 1970 with it's core business being hard drives and memory chips where WD has made a brand name for itself in manufacturing reliable hard drives both internal and increasingly external high capacity drives, in fact I own more than a dozen WD drives with my latest addition being a 28tb My book Duo that was busily being filled with Chia plots that I will probably delete in the not too distant future when they fail to yield any Chia coins. So if the existing fundamentals of manufacturing quality hardware for the PC market was not enough then the CHIA crypto mania of farming Chia plots on ones hard drives that has resulted in an ongoing mad rush to buy up the worlds supply of external drives so that crypto maniacs can waste time, energy and resources trying to win a couple of CHIA coins by plotting farms that span tens of terabytes of storage per individual Chia farmer.

The stock of movie theater chain AMC Entertainment (AMC) just skyrocketed out of nowhere, jumping as much as 127% in one day earlier this month.This would be an extraordinary move for any stock. For AMC, it seems downright crazy. According to CNBC, movie ticket sales in the US fell 80% in 2020. AMC lost $4.6 billion last year, thanks largely to COVID.

AI Stocks Strength vs Weakness - Why Selling Google or Facebook is a Big Mistake! / Companies / AI

Stock market corrections are useful in gauging what is going on under the hood of corporations long before any information makes it into the public arena. For instance looking at the relative strength of the top 5 AI stocks shows Google and Facebook showing relative strength, whilst Apple and Amazon are showing relative weakness with Microsoft in the middle. What this is saying is that one should definitely NOT make the mistake of Selling Google or Facebook! Whilst as expected in my last AI stocks update Apple and Amazon are looking tired and so are unlikely to start galloping higher any time soon and thus set to under perform for some time. whilst Microsoft is doing its own thing somewhere in the middle.

Big Pharma Is Back! Biotech Skyrockets On Biogen’s New Alzheimer Drug Approval / Companies / BioTech

The FDA issued an accelerated approval status for Biogen’s new Alzheimer drug with specific requirements related to consumer use and results. In these cases, the FDA is allowing Biogen to move into a more open consumer trial where the results and side-effects of this new drug will be identified fairly quickly.
This new drug targets the plague in the heart and brain that is associated with Alzheimer’s. Over five million Americans live with some form of Alzheimer’s currently. The Alzheimers Association continues to provide detailed statistics related to how this disease relates to various segments of American society. This news of a new Biogen Alzheimer’s drug has sent XBI skyrocketing – yet the news may not be enough to continue to trend across an entire market sector. The one thing that I would like to point out is that news of a single drug that has entered early-stage accelerated approval by the FDA does not make a new trend – it makes a news blip.

Computer Vision Is Like Investing in the Internet in the ‘90s / Companies / Tech Stocks

Did you hear that NASA put a self-driving car on Mars? Its Perseverance rover has been cruising around the red planet since February, and unlike previous space robots, this one features a big technological breakthrough: It drives itself!
Prior versions of the rover had to constantly stop and take static photographs to figure out where to go. It’s no wonder the furthest any rover had traveled in one day is 700 feet. But Perseverance can “see” where it’s going in real-time. Now it spends its days poking around a dried-up river bed looking for signs of alien life.
A world-changing disruption made this breakthrough possible. I’m talking about computer vision. Computer vision is the kind of disruption that only comes around once a generation.

Apple (AAPL) Summer Correction Stock Trend Analysis / Companies / Apple

I have been bearish on the prospects for Apple to go higher since last November and so far Apple has lived upto my expectations, and it's the first big stock on my list to be down on the year. Apple is trading on an an EC of 81 that is even higher than the 76 of last November. So despite the stock having gone nowhere for the pasty 8 months, I can't see what's going to propel it higher in the near future. Not a good buy at current levels so the Buy % is 35%.

Microsoft (MSFT) Stock Trend Analysis / Companies / Microsoft

3. MICROSOFT - $252.5
Microsoft is up 12% since my last update, and is now over priced on an EC of 70, against fair value of 55. Unless I am missing something, the stock needs to consolidate it's powerful advance before considering going higher as it is not healthy for a stock to keep becoming more expensive. Maybe it's the 2.1% dividend yield that's attracting investors? But on an EC of 70 it is a little expensive for my taste. Not a good buy at current levels so the Buy % is 35%.

Google has had a spectacular bull run to stand up 34% year to date! In terms of valuations Google's stock price is running a little ahead of itself on an EC of 49 against 44 in February. I consider a sweet buying spot for Google when EC is below 40 which would imply a fair price for Google around 2000. So Google is over priced at $2400, in terms of current earnings. In terms of a Buy %, Google is neutral on 50%.

AI Tech Stocks Buying Levels, Expensive / Cheap (EC) Indicator and Buy % Ratings Explained / Companies / Stock Market Valuations

The stock market is now moving into my forecast time window for a correction to begin of approx 10% decline as illustrated by my trend forecast graph.
Firstly What are Buying Levels?
Buying levels are high probability technical levels that a stock 'could' trade down to during a correction i.e. an achievable technical chart level that could be used to for instance to put in buy limit orders at just above the buying level if one is eager to accumulate more stock into any particular company as an example last September the Buying Level for Google (Alphabet) was $1395, so a limit order at $1395 or higher would be the objective depending on how eager one is to gain exposure to Google i.e. If I really wanted to buy more Google at the time then the limit order would be OVER $1400 as stocks tend to find support at round numbers, whilst if I was less inclined to buy Google then the Buying level would be at $1395, lower than that and there is a decreasing probability that a buy will be triggered.
