By: Jay_DeVincentis

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleWhile the market looks toppy here, we're entering a seasonally strong period. There are many IPOs that are worth looking at - look at this week's list for the top performers. The top 3 on the list are stocks you should consider holding.

General Electric GE in Consolidation / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

By: Mike_Paulenoff

While I was disappointed that General Electric (NYSE: GE) failed twice to follow-through to the upside from above its December resistance line in the vicinity of 15.90 and instead nosedived to 15.66 earlier this morning, my work argues that the weakness should be considered a correction in the aftermath of yesterday’s upmove from 15.55 to 15.94.

Mega-Cap Stocks ETF's For the Bluest of Blue Chip Investing 2010 / Companies / Investing 2010

By: Ron_Rowland

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticlePeople often associate “big” with “safe.” They think big ships are safer than small boats. Big banks are safer than small banks. Big stocks are safer than small stocks.

Of course, it doesn’t always work out that way … the gigantic Titanic turned out to be quite a bit more dangerous than the Skipper’s S.S. Minnow. And on average, you are much safer aboard a small plane than you are in your supersize SUV.

Breakout in Automaker Ford / Companies / US Auto's

By: Mike_Paulenoff

Ford (NYSE: F) has followed a very bullish script of late, as it coiled from its Nov 18 high at 9.14 into yesterday’s upside breakout that has triggered upside follow-through to 9.53 so far, perhaps on the way to my next optimal trading zone at 9.70 to 10.00. At this juncture, a break below 9.30 will begin to indicate that the upside thrust is a bit exhausted.

How to Profit Goldman Sachs Evil Genius / Companies / Market Manipulation

By: Money_Morning

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleJon D. Markman writes: When references are made to the world's "oldest profession," I sometimes wonder if we're not exactly referring to market manipulation. In this country alone, market operators have been employing all sorts of market manipulations for more than 100 years.

What may surprise you is that most of it isn't illegal or even improper; in institutional circles, it's actually viewed as shrewd business.

Bullish Developments for Solar TAN ETF / Companies / Renewable Energy

By: Mike_Paulenoff

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleThe Claymore/MAC Global Solar Energy (NYSE: TAN) is in the news this morning and appears to be the beneficiary of some exciting news and expectations heading into 2010, perhaps a reflection of a global push towards "going or getting Green" in sympathy with the climate debate. Last Friday's, Deutsche Bank upgraded First Solar (FSLR), and this morning rumor has it that another big Wall Street research department is upgrading the solar sector and, in particular, components Suntech Power (STP) and JA Solar (JASO).

Natural Gas Vehicles vs Electric Vehicles / Companies / US Auto's

By: Richard_Shaw

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleIf we have more natural gas than we can currently use; if natural gas vehicles use a proven technology; and if we have developed natural gas pipelines that lose less energy than high tension electric transmission lines; why do we seek electric vehicles when the technology is not developed for distance travel, when electric power losses over long distance transmission are substantial, and when we do not have the electric production or transmission capacity to supply a major conversion from gasoline to electric vehicles?

Unfinished Upside for Bristol-Myers Squibb BMY / Companies / Company Chart Analysis

By: Mike_Paulenoff

My near-term work argues strongly that Bristol-Myers Squibb (NYSE: BMY) is nearing the completion of its corrective period off of last week’s high at 25.75 into the 24.50 area. Right now I cannot rule out another loop down to revisit 24.50 (last Friday’s low), but if further weakness emerges I will want to enter/add to long positions ahead of unfinished business on the upside that projects to 26.60-27.00 next.
