Green Energy Policies Would Cripple the Economy / Economics / Renewable Energy

By: Ayn_Rand

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleWill a green energy industry be an engine of economic growth? Many want us to think so, including our new President. Fuel Cell Cars Provide New Uses for Rhodium, Platinum / Commodities / Renewable Energy

By: Mac_Slavo

The recent price lows of Rhodium ($1200 an ounce) suggest that investors are worried about its future needs in car manufacturing. Rhodium, a noble metal, is primarily used in catalytic converters for combustion engine vehicles. Investing in Solar Power Energy Technology / Companies / Renewable Energy

By: Money_and_Markets

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleSean Brodrick writes: As an energy crisis threatens to derail the U.S. economy, it really bugs me that there is a 170-billion-megawatt fusion reactor we are not taking advantage of.

I'm talking about the sun, which, when you get down to it, is a big ol' fusion reactor — nuclear energy on steroids. Enough sunlight falls on the Earth's surface every hour to meet world energy demand for an entire year .

Profiting from Alternative Energies That Work / Commodities / Renewable Energy

By: Money_and_Markets

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleSean Brodrick writes: Many Americans are disgusted by the fact that, faced with an energy crisis, the government seems to produce nothing but hot air. I think the government is paralyzed because there's no one clear solution.

Instead, there are a multitude of options — more drilling, nuclear power, hydrogen cars, solar power ... you name it. Every alternative has a lobby in Washington to press its case, but there's no one to tell our elected officials which is the best route to take.

Algae a Greener Biofuel Than Ethanol? / Companies / Renewable Energy

By: Jennifer_Barry

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleIn my May article, Food Shock , I mentioned that biofuel production was consuming many of the crops normally used for food. Riots have broken out over the sharp price rises of 37% last year, and 16% so far in 2008. Coffee, soybeans and wheat are increasingly diverted to biodiesel production, driving prices higher. Almost a quarter of America's corn crop was distilled into ethanol last year, and the percentage is expected to grow another 10% in 2008.
