Gold, Silver, Crude Oil and Natural Gas Commodities ETF Trading / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Chris_Vermeulen

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleThe past week in gold, silver, oil, natural gas and the broad market wasn’t anything to write home about. We are seeing controlled profit taking which is making the market choppy. Many traders are getting very bearish on the market which is a good thing in my opinion. According to my market internals, sentiment and volume analysis we should get a shake out (sharp dip) which would make traders exit their positions before the market continues higher.

Gold and Crude Oil Rally, A Long Term Look / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: John_Winston

Diamond Rated - Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleWhen you get right down to it, no matter what techniques one might rely on for his investment decisions there is one thing that they all have in common.  In order to be successful an investor has to be on the right side of the longer term trends.

We are all bombarded with daily charts and sometimes weekly, but looking at the long term monthly charts can reveal areas where price on the long term has historically shown to be important turning or continuation points.  Not only do they give you a perspective or where price has been in the past, it gives you an idea of where price is now in relation to where major peaks and bottoms occurred.

Commodity Trading Report for Gold, Silver, Crude Oil and Natural Gas / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Chris_Vermeulen

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticlePrecious Metals – Gold GLD fund – Silver SLV Fund – PM Stocks GDX Fund
We could start to see a shift between the price relationship between gold and the broad market. I pointed this out last week mentioning that gold and silver are starting to hold up in value while stocks sell off on big days. For example, Wednesday’s sell-off in equities did not have much effect on precious metals. This is what we want to see. It means money is moving out of stocks and into gold and silver bullion as a safe haven.

Awaiting Entry Point on DIG Ultra Long Oil and Gas ETF / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Mike_Paulenoff

The oil and gas sector finally is on the move, perhaps in reaction to the decline of the dollar (commodity relationship). Since last Friday, the Proshares UltraLong Oil & Gas Sector ETF (NYSE: DIG) climbed from 34.00 to 36.32, or +6.8%. More importantly, the rally off of the October 2 low at 29.13 also broke above a ONE YEAR RESISTANCE plateau at the 34.00 level as well, which has measured upside potential targets of 44.50 and 51.00.

Crude Oil, Gas, Silver Gold – Getting Ready for Next Commodities Rally / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Chris_Vermeulen

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleCommodities have and continue to be a fantastic trading vehicle for those who can stomach volatility. After last year’s market crash most commodities pulled back to normal if not lower than normal trading ranges. This allowed us to enter the market at 10+ year lows for natural gas.

Can Trend Following End In The Commodity Markets? / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Andrew_Abraham

The question is… Can trend following end? First of all… anything can happen and it will happen. However as a long time trend follower, in my opinion there are numerous reasons why I do not believe trend following can or will end. The question came up when I was in a meeting with an institutional investor earlier in the week and in all of his years exposed just to the equities markets, he was skeptical of trend following. He asked if everyone knew the concept of trend following the results would falter.

Bullish Technical Set-Up for DBC Commodity Index ETF / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Mike_Paulenoff

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleWith the breakdown in the Dollar, and the powerful thrust in crude oil prices, and buoyancy in metals such as gold, silver, alumininum, copper, and the industrial metals, the pattern that is developing in the PowerShares DB Commodity Index ETF (NYSE: DBC) is fairly conspicuous. Let's notice that Friday's low at 21.42 was followed by today's potent up-gap open and strong action-- the type of action expected at the end of a correction (in this case off of the 8/05 high at 24.00), and at the beginning of a meaningful rally effort.
