Commodities Risk Trade / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Zeal_LLC

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleCommodities prices have been exceptionally volatile in recent weeks, with big daily rallies and plunges intermingled.  Seemingly without rhyme or reason, commodities surge one day as traders crave riskier bets but then fall the next as they flee risk.  While this commodities risk trade often looks capricious and schizophrenic, it actually has a logical and consistent driver.  The state of the stock markets.

Rhodium and the Silver Crash of 2011 Contagion / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Ned_W_Schmidt

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleRHODIUM TRADING THOUGHTS is about timely and profitable trading of precious metals. We do not believe every turn in the market can be called. Our goal is that our recommendations should be profitable. Profits are the goals, not trades. Do not expect all recommendations to be profitable. No system can achieve that lofty goal. Our goal is simply to state whether conditions for a metal are favorable or not. Buy signals are issued when appropriate.

Commodities After The Crash, No Way But Up / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Andrew_McKillop

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleAfter a suspiciously short and likely programmed commodities crash we can only have the right hand leg of a "V" profile for commodity prices - until and unless big things happen with the major currencies and national debt crises of most OECD countries, or we have a global economic crash. To be sure, this is the context for highly classic speculative frenzies, where fundamentals are put on the back burner, and the front burners are turned to full on.

Commodity Markets, Renewed period of bad news = good news? / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: ECR_Research

Renate van Ginderen writes: Generally, investors remain very bullish on commodity markets. No surprise there - the Fed is still inclined to pursue an extraordinary loose monetary policy. Should macro-economic data deteriorate in 2011, however, this could still be interpreted as positive to asset prices as in that case the Fed will be more likely to opt for a new round of quantitative easing. Therefore, one can expect upward pressure on commodity prices over the coming weeks to months, albeit probably with an intermediate correction, as explained below.

The Coming Global Commodities Crisis / Commodities / Commodities Trading

By: Clif_Droke

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleThe last few weeks has seen a startling rise in fuel and food prices. This has been a key contributor to the political and economic instability overseas; it’s also paving the way for an even bigger crisis for the U.S. and the world economy by 2012.

Indeed, the oil price has been on a rip-and-tear largely owing to the Middle East crisis. The fear and uncertainty overhanging North Africa and the Middle East has also benefited the gold price. Our favorite gold proxy for instance, the SPDR Gold Trust ETF (GLD), recently made a new high and is still above its key immediate-term trend line.
