Top Three Benefits You Should Know About Solar Integrated Panels / Housing-Market / Solar Energy

By: Submissions

It’s one sure fact that most of us are already aware of: more property owners are choosing to have solar panels, and most of these property owners are also opting for integrated or in-roof panel systems. If you have been thinking about it for some time now, you may have your questions. But if you would like nothing more than to produce energy and not rely too heavily on the grid, your solar installation is worth the investment. But what about in-roof or integrated solar panels – are they worth it as well? Here are the top three benefits you should know about solar integrated panels.

If Biden Wins, Solar Stocks Could Go Ballistic / Companies / Solar Energy

By: John_Mauldin

By Justin Spittler : “We're not just going to tinker around the edges. We're going to make historic investments that will seize this moment in history.”

Presidential front-runner Joe Biden said this last month. He was talking about his blockbuster green energy spending plan. As you may have heard, Biden plans to spend $2 trillion on clean energy and infrastructure over four years if he becomes president.

That’s a staggering amount of money. The Trump administration currently allocates less than $100 billion per year to clean energy technology. So, we’re talking about a 20-fold surge in spending!

Biden also plans to end carbon emissions from power plants by 2035. It’s an ambitious goal. One that would require millions of solar panels, and tens of thousands of wind turbines.

Why Solar Stocks Are Rallying Against All Odds / Companies / Solar Energy

By: Submissions

Watching the news is one of the most dangerous things you can do as an investor. I know it’s counterintuitive. After all, most investors want to be as informed as possible. But watching CNBC or any other financial media outlet won’t give you an “edge.”

Most news is “priced in” long before the talking heads cover it. In other words, investors who act on news are usually late. The mainstream media also fixates on bad news. And it’s no secret why: fear sells. But it’s not just the talking heads on TV that you need to worry about.

The news you read online can be just as destructive to your wealth. You probably would have sold all your stocks back in March if you listened to all the negative headlines! This is why I never watch the news.

Building The World's Largest Solar Project / Commodities / Solar Energy

By: OilPrice_Com

Saudi Arabia wants to pour $200 billion into solar to build the world's largest solar project.

The Saudi sovereign wealth fund and SoftBank Group Corp. of Japan jointly announced plans to build a solar project that is staggering in size – 200 gigawatts (GW) by 2030. That would be about 100 times larger than some of the largest projects in the world right now. "It's by far the biggest solar project ever," Masayoshi Son, CEO of SoftBank said at a news conference Tuesday in New York after signing a nonbinding agreement with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS).

How the US Has Secretly Subsidized China to Produce Eco-Unfriendly Solar Panels / Politics / Solar Energy

By: John_Mauldin

BY PATRICK WATSON : The US is about to fire another salvo in the international trade war, and this one may actually make sense.

That’s because the US government will, if President Trump approves, help an industry it almost destroyed a few years ago.

And stranger yet, this policy puts the Trump administration and environmentalist groups on the same side.

First Solar FSLR Recovery in Progress / Companies / Solar Energy

By: ElliottWave-Forecast

First Solar (NASDAQ: FSLR) designs and manufactures solar modules using a proprietary thin film semiconductor technology. The company has developed, financed, engineered, constructed and currently operates many of the world’s largest grid-connected PV power plants.

First Solar relies almost entirely on utility-scale projects which accounts for over half of the U.S. solar market and can be affected by the potential solar import tariffs by the Trump administration. However, preparation were already made to avoid such a step-back and the company booked 4.5 GW of panel and system sales in the previous quarter, more than it makes in a year.

Trump’s Solar Tariff Confusion Creates An Investing Opportunity / Companies / Solar Energy

By: OilPrice_Com

The solar sector is reeling from confusion, and stock prices are reeling right along with it. The time it has taken investors and traders to wrap their heads around Trump’s industry tariffs and the pyrrhic victory of two solar companies in a case against cheap Chinese imports has seen stocks rally in a big way, and then fall just as hard.

When the International Trade Court ruled in favor of plaintiffs Suniva and SolarWorld in their case against cheap Chinese solar module and cell imports, reactions were polarized: the U.S. solar industry was outraged—as it had been for most of the duration of the court investigation—and investors, apparently, were extremely upbeat for the future of this same outraged industry, sending solar stocks sky-high.

Exponential Solar Power Growth Means Fossil Fuels Are Toast / Commodities / Solar Energy

By: John_Rubino

With all the oil-related headlines we’re exposed to each day, you might assume that “black gold,” along with other fossil fuels like coal and natural gas, matter to humanity’s future. You’d be wrong. Like Keynesian economics and fiat currencies, fossil fuels are near the end of their run. From here on out, solar is the story.

A Bright Future for Solar Power in the Middle East / Commodities / Solar Energy

By: STRATFOR

Forecast

  • Geography and demographic challenges have made parts of the Middle East and North Africa a prime location for solar power installations.
  • While solar will not supplant the role of hydrocarbons, it will enable countries such as Morocco and Jordan to improve energy security and potentially become electricity exporters.
  • Countries such as Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates will seek to maintain their position as energy exporters, in part by adopting strategies likely to include renewables development.

By: BATR

For all those sun baked brains that see salvation in renewable nirvana, the imminent demise of SunEdison is the latest case that creative green economics is the path to insolvency. Solar Stocks the Biggest Investment Opportunity in Energy Right Now / Companies / Solar Energy

By: Investment_U

David Fessler writes: By 2035, the electricity sector - which should be worth a cool $4 trillion annually - won’t look anything like it does today. That’s because a huge disruptor is affecting the way energy is generated and distributed...

I’m talking about solar.

Right now, solar is a $120 billion a year industry. Over the last two decades, solar has grown at a 30% compound annual growth rate. And there’s no reason to think that won’t continue.

Get Ready for the Next Advance in Solar Energy / Commodities / Solar Energy

By: ...

MoneyMorning.com Dr. Kent Moors writes: Despite limitations, solar has reached grid parity in a number of regions in the U.S. That means sun power is as cost efficient as electricity utilizing more conventional sources like coal and natural gas. But it still has some limitations that prevent it from becoming the main source of power.

Usually the discussion of how solar energy will develop centers on improving the inversion process or combining greater efficiency in generation with a better battery technology to store what is produced.

Why Buffett Bet A Billion On Solar Energy / Commodities / Solar Energy

By: OilPrice_Com

Miles Per Acre Per Year

During the late innings of the ICE-age (as in the Internal Combustion Engine age) it has become clear that feeding gasoline and diesel to the next billion new cars is not going to be easy, or cheap. In China alone, 500 million new vehicles can be expected to jam the roads between now and 2030.

That may sound far-fetched but considering annual sales have already made it to 25 million units per year (vs. around 17 million in the U.S. – China became the top market in 2009), it only requires a 4 percent growth rate to reach that target in fifteen years.

As you probably know, Musk also has these electric cars that people seem to like to drive… with the potential to put all the major car manufacturers out of business. Oh, and the dealerships too.

Tesla’s Disruptive New Plan to Power Your Home / Companies / Solar Energy

By: Money_Morning

Dr. Kent Moors writes: Two eye-opening announcements prove that renewable energy is no longer at the mercy of the price of oil.

Both involve solar power, which I find increasingly attractive in today’s markets.

The first is a major test of a joint project between Tesla Motors Inc. (NasdaqGS: TSLA) and SolarCity Corp. (NasdaqGS: SCTY) involving 500 California homes.
