Best Stocks and Shares ISA ISA for 2022 - FreeTrade, IG Index, II, IKBR, AJ Bell Compared / Personal_Finance / ISA's

By: Nadeem_Walayat

NUMBER CRUNCHING THE BEST STOCKS AND SHARES CASH ISA

NEW TAX YEAR NEW ISA and maybe an additional SIPP, though I have to keep in mind the lifetime LIMIT, currently at just over £1 million! ISA"s are the way to go, a no brainier for UK stock investors, continue upto 20k per person (40k per couples) annual allowance and can transfer in cash ISA's on top (which I still have too much of),

So BEFORE I opened my latest stocks and shares ISA, I did a number crunch to determine which is best, now there maybe some minor errors in this table but overall it gives a accurate picture that I used to make my decision of who to go with for 2022-23.

How to Make Money during a Pandemic? / Personal_Finance / Money Making

By: Submissions

A lot of people are interested in authentic work-from-home job prospects.

Common causes comprise job loss, pay cuts, isolations, and stay-at-home orders. Your children might be home from school plus you cannot find secure and healthy baby-sitting. Even if you are still doing a job, you may wish to earn some more spending money or some money to pay down liability. Possibly you just need something to do in your free time.

Working from home gives a lot of benefits. You can save time as well as frustration by dodging everyday travel. You can work from any place in the state. You can run shops in the middle of the day.

Nonetheless, be careful of work-from-home job cheats. Under no circumstances, pay cash to get a job or to get a list of job prospects. If you have to do this, it is possibly a scam.

The previous months have been disturbing. Even if you have not experienced a heartbreaking loss of a beloved one or your business, the economy at present has still possibly impacted your finances.

UK Energy Bills Catastrophe! 50% Price Cap Rise - SUBMIT Meter Readings ASAP to Avoid Extra Charges / Personal_Finance / Household Bills

By: N_Walayat

Britians' energy price cap has risen by 50% today which is what most customers will be paying given that all of the fixed rate deals charge more than even the latest price cap. If you have not already submitted a meter reading that it is still not too late to do so but the sooner you submit the better to avoid energy usage being charged at a 50% higher cost.

So having an accurate read of where customers stand WILL make a difference! Once upon a time the price cap could be ignored but not for the past 6 months as a myriad of energy firms such as Zog Energy dumped their fixed rate customers onto regulators who passed the customers onto firms such as EDF onto their variable rate tariffs that as of writing are some 60% BELOW fixed rate tariffs, so the worst thing anyone can do is to FIX their energy tariffs as even after tomorrows 50% hike, the price cap will still be lower than fixed rate deals, and likely remain so all the way into the next price price cap hike on 1st October when we could see another huge hike of as much as 30% ahead of winter 2022.

Experiences or Assets: HNWIs spending habits post-pandemic / Personal_Finance / Financial Education

By: Submissions

The pandemic affected almost every aspect of life on a global scale. Included in this are the significant changes in individual lifestyles, particularly those of High-Net-Worth Individuals (HNWIs). With such vast adjustments in living conditions, it is not unreasonable to wonder just how these changes are affecting HNWIs’ finances – and whether this is for the best.

According to the Saltus Wealth Index – an extensive and insightful study into the financial positions, prospects and potential of HNWIs – only one-fifth (21%) of respondents said they hadn’t ‘made any lasting changes to [their] lifestyle’.

By: Nadeem_Walayat

Freetrade have just sent a message to customers informing them that from the 1st of June they will start lending their shares to short sellers! This despite customer having to pay a £10 monthly fee for freetrades SIPP! Apparently freetrade will keep all of the income whilst YOU the customer carry ALL of the risk! What a load of crap!

My most recent in depth analysis focused on continuing to capitalise on the downward spiral in stock price in response to first Inflation Panic and now added to by War Panic.

The Stunning Truth About the FDIC and Your Bank Deposits / Personal_Finance / Banksters

By: EWI

Why you can't rely on the FDIC if another financial crisis hits and your bank goes under

Millions of U.S. bank depositors feel safe in the knowledge that the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will protect their accounts, even if their bank goes under.

Yes, it's true that the FDIC says it will do so. As their website states:

The standard insurance amount is $250,000 per depositor, per insured bank, for each account ownership category.

However, the question is: Does the FDIC have the wherewithal to fulfill its promise?

Cloned Car 1 Year Later Update, Expired MOT Tactic - UK Cars Cloning Scam / Personal_Finance / Motoring

By: HGR

It is now just over 1 year since I became aware that my car had been cloned the trigger point being that someone had got a care under my plate MOT'd BEFORE ME! Which an investigation by the DVSA confirmed that a cloned car had been presented at a garage for MOT over a hundred miles from where I reside in a Town that I have never visited, so I did all of the usual stuff i.e. informing the DVLA, Police etc as well as my own detective work in tracking down the person who cloned my car! Anyway following numerous requests this is an update of what has transpired since including my recent tactic of letting my MOT expire, leaving the car parked on my drive for a few weeks to see what happens for if the car plate was still cloned then surely ANPR camera's would flag it to the police to intercept.

One popular way to promote products and brands today is through the use of social media.

Clearly, Facebook is the whale here, but Instagram isn’t so far behind now. Although the company likes to keep its figures secret, it was reported last year that the website had reached 2 billion active users.

What Should You Consider When Taking a Payday Loan? / Personal_Finance / Debt & Loans

By: Submissions

Online loans are booming in the United States. Financial companies can easily issue loans without requiring documents on the financial condition of the borrower. They compensate for this generosity with high rates on loans and harsh penalties for late repayment.

The ease of obtaining online credit makes this financial service accessible to all segments of the population. Services are provided without documents confirming the financial condition of the borrower. Often the borrower cannot realize the consequences that await him after signing a loan agreement.

The so-called payday loans are in great demand among borrowers. These are loans for up to one month and no more than one minimum wage. Online loans, as small as 200 dollar loans before paycheck are attracted by the ease of obtaining them. But it should be borne in mind that the cost of one day of use will be more than the market average. Also, such agreements usually suggest colossal fines and penalties for late online paycheck loans.

How Can I Save More This Year? / Personal_Finance / Savings Accounts

By: Submissions

Finding ways to spend less, and save more, could be a resolution that you have set yourself this year. Alternatively, you may simply want to make it easier for yourself to make tax payments, or pay other bills when they are due. Parents may also want to teach their children about good money habits, especially in a society filled with the ability to make convenient purchases. Adopting some better money choices could really benefit you and your family, and set everyone up for more stability in the future.

To teach your children about saving money, you might want to consider opening a tax efficient ISA for your child. Unlike some savings accounts, an ISA might not count for tax purposes, meaning you can save right up to the maximum amount without having to pay fees on the money, or the interest it gains.
