The battle is on for the next Conservation leader following the inevitable departure of Theresa May. This is certainly going to be a difficult job for whoever takes over the helm, in which there currently remains six looking for the role. The Roulettegeeks odds prediction has Boris Johnson as the short favourite and his price continues to shorten, in which he is now a best priced 1/6.

Boris Johnson

The 54 year old is not only a British Politician but also a journalist and popular historian. He has been a member of Parliament (MP) for Uxbridge and South Ruislip since 2015 and also had the same role for Henley between 2001 and 2008. Boris was also the Mayor of London between 2008 and 2016 and then served as the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs. He is now the strong favourite to take over as the leader of the Conservative party.

Rory Stewart

Next in the betting at a best priced 14/1 is Rory Stewart. The 46 year old is currently serving as Secretary of State for International development. He has also been a member of Parliament (MP) for Penrith and the border since 2010. He has also had other key roles such as being the Minister of State for Africa at the Foreign and Commonwealth office.

Jeremy Hunt

The 52 year old is a best priced 14/1 and the general third favourite to take over the Conservative party. He is currently serving as Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth affairs. Hunt has also been a member of Parliament (MO) for South West Surrey since 2005. He is the son of a Senior Officer in the Royal Navy and has had a number of key roles such as the Minister for the Olympics, which received high acclaim.

Michael Gove

Another still in the hunt is 51 year old Michael Gove, who can be supported at a general 33/1. He has been serving as the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs since 2017. He has also been a member of Parliament (MP) for Surrey Heath since 2005. Gove has had a number of key roles including being the Secretary of State for Education between 2010 and 2014.

Dominic Raab

The 45 year old is another person still in the running and can be supported at a general 50/1. He served as Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union up until 15th November 2018. He has also been a member of Parliament (MP) for Esher and Walton since 2010.

Sajid Javid

The final person is Sajid Javid who can be supported at a general 80/1. The 49 year old has been serving as Home Secretary since 2018. He has also been a member of Parliament (MP) for Bromsgrove in Worcestershire since 2010. Javid has had a number of key roles including Economic Secretary to the Treasury and Financial Secretary to the Treasury.
