Forget the Pessimists, theres Value in the Stock Market / Companies / Corporate Earnings

By: Charles_Carnevale

Diamond Rated - Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleWhenever there is a rise in stock values as we have experienced over the past year or so, it seems to be human nature to automatically assume that valuations have become too high. However, although it is possible that this is true, it is not necessarily so. A lot has to do with where valuations were before the run-up occurred. For example, if valuations were extremely low, then even after a rise, they can continue to be low or perhaps only have risen to becoming fairly valued.

By: John_Mauldin

Diamond Rated - Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleAs you'll recall, I spent much of last week with the folks at Casey Research, at their most recent investment summit.  They always put on a top-notch show, and there were many impressive speakers.  But, as a big fan of technology, both for its place in the future of our economy and for the sheer coolness factor of some of the amazing things we can now achieve, I really liked one talk in particular.

Is The Exodus of Wealth From Swiss Banks Accelerating? Massive Flight-of-Capital Acknowledged / Companies / Credit Crisis Bailouts

By: DK_Matai

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleFinancial Privacy Wars

Swiss banks are now expecting withdrawals of hundreds of billions of Swiss francs according to the head of wealth management at UBS, Jürg Zeltner, as a result of steps to stop foreigners using secret accounts to evade taxes.  Although a long time coming, this is entirely consistent with the extensive investigations carried out by the ATCA 5000 Research and Analysis Wing (A-RAW) and the mi2g Intelligence Unit (mIU) as well as the Socratic dialogue we have subsequently initiated at the highest level in regard to the flight-of-capital from Switzerland.

By: Money_Morning

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleKeith Fitz-Gerald writes: Just five years after they played a primary role in engineering the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression, America's big banks are quietly setting the world up to do it all over again.

Only this go-round the costs will be far higher and the damage much worse. This time the fall could be $2.6 trillion or more.

Apple Stock Fundamental Earnings, Price and Dividend Analysis / Companies / Tech Stocks

By: Fast_Graphs

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleApple Inc (AAPL) is one of the most high profile stocks in the world.  Regarding its valuation, people are often confused by its high price.  However, even though the price is high, Apple’s valuation is significantly lower than its historical earnings growth rate, and more importantly, its forecast growth.  Consequently, we believe that this high profile growth stock that has recently began paying a dividend, is undervalued at these levels.

Taxmageddon 2013 Hits Dividend Income Hard – Here's What to Do / Companies / Dividends

By: Money_Morning

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleLarry D. Spears writes: Every dividend investor loves the arrival of those quarterly distribution checks. But thanks to "Taxmageddon 2013" those checks could get a whole lot smaller.

As things currently stand - with higher tax brackets, no extension of the Bush-era tax cuts and the addition of new levies on higher-income payers to fund Obamacare - the tax bite on some dividend payments could rise from as little as 15% to as high as 43.4%.

U.S. Subprime Auto Nation / Companies / US Auto's

By: James_Quinn

Diamond Rated - Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleHave you heard the news? Auto sales are booming. Total sales for the month of August were 1,285,202 vehicles, according to Autodata Corp, the highest monthly sales figure for any August since 2007, when 1.47 million autos were sold in the United States. Year to date auto sales have totaled 9.7 million and are on track to reach 14.5 million. Between 2006 and 2007, auto sales ranged between 16 million and 18 million. They crashed below 10 million in 2009. The Keynesians running our government have pulled out all the stops to restart this engine of consumer spending. First they wasted $3 billion of taxpayer funds on the Cash for Clunkers debacle. Almost 700,000 perfectly good cars were destroyed in order to keep union workers happy.  This Keynesian brain fart distorted the used car market for two years, raising prices for cars needed by the working poor. After that miserable failure, they realized the true secret to selling vehicles is to give them away to anyone that can scratch an X on a loan document, with 0% interest for 60 months, financed by Federal government controlled banking interests. Add in some massive channel stuffing and presto!!! - You’ve got an auto sales boom.

You Can't Beat the Juicy Dividend Yields Offered By These Global Giants / Companies / Dividends

By: Money_Morning

Best Financial Markets Analysis ArticleMartin Hutchinson writes: Dividend investors have something of a problem if they'd like to invest internationally: there are actually very few foreign companies that pay really juicy dividends.

What's more, few of those have fully listed ADRs, so their shares can be very thinly traded.

That leaves income investors in a bit of a quandary since that's where the majority of the growth is found.
