UK General Election Forecast 2010 Hung Parliament and Lib-Lab Pact Probable / ElectionOracle / UK General Election
The clear winner in the first Prime Ministerial debate was Nick Clegg, the primary reasons for this were:
a. David Cameron had been coached by tory strategists into NOT attacking his opponents and to try portray the Conservative party as the friendly party which did not work.
b. Gordon Brown embarrassingly trying to ingratiate himself with the Lib Dem leader. How many times did he say "I agree with Nick", only to be immediately rebuffed by Nick Clegg.

Voting for Gold vs Voting for Gordon Brown / ElectionOracle / UK General Election
Dave Cameron is no Margaret Thatcher, but Gordon Brown is very much a friend to gold...
SOCIALIST GOLD-OWNERS are rarer than Tory foxes. But should British gold investors, one month from now, vote against the man who ignored the Bank of England's best advice – and sold over half of the UK's gold reserves at the very lowest prices a decade ago?

UK General Election to be Decided by 20% of Voters in Marginal Constituencies / ElectionOracle / UK General Election
The mainstream press obsess over opinion polls to predominantly determine the average swing from Labour to Conservative (currently 5%). However these general opinion polls are pretty much useless as 80% of voters will have no say in the outcome of the election which will be decided in just 120 marginal seats out of the total of 650.

Gordon Brown GOLD Sale Could Cost Labour the Election / ElectionOracle / UK General Election
The decision to sell Gold in 1999/2000 at rock bottom prices, was probably one of the worst mistakes by a supposedly sophisticated treasury, the Treasury team of UK. Mr Gordon Brown was the chancellor as he almost single handedly pummeeled his decision to sell Gold even with all the dissenting voice, almost giving an impression if there were other motives.

Alistair Darling's UK Election Give Away Budget Crippled by Debt and Liabilities / Politics / UK General Election
The Race is on, How Far Can Labour Boost the UK Economy Before it Goes Bust?
On Wednesday Alistair Darling had hoped he could implement the next phase of Britain's debt fuelled economic recovery in advance of the May 2010 General Election. Unfortunately time is not on the Chancellors side as the exploding debt mountain far beyond the levels estimated by the Chancellor of a year ago (as illustrated below) has now crippled the Chancellors options in delivering a further big stimulus bounce into the General Election, as further reckless behaviour will likely send foreign investors rushing for the exit out of sterling assets.

Engineering a Strong UK Economic Recovery into a May 2010 General Election / ElectionOracle / UK General Election
The big news from an economic prospective was the recent ONS revision to UK 1st Quarter GDP data from a contraction of -1.9% (April 09) to now -2.4% . The response in the mainstream media was virtually unanimous, shock and horror at the degree of contraction in the 1stQ which is the worst since 1958. However what the mainstream media have failed to comprehend is that the effect of a significantly lower 1st quarter GDP sets the scene for a lower base from which the economy can recover, as the NEXT FOUR quarters will show a GREATER BOUNCE in the data released in the run up to the May 2010 GENERAL ELECTION as I elaborate upon in this article.
